About the Author
Peter Hunn began collecting old outboards after receiving a 1928 Johnson for his tenth birthday, and since then he has acquired several hundred. Hunn is a outboard curator for the Thousand Islands Antique Boat Museum and is a regular contributor to Antique Outboarder magazine. The former owner of two upstate New York radio stations, he currently teaches communication studies at the State University of New York, Oswego.

ordered the book because of the good reviews ( glad i only paid 8

ordered the book because of the good reviews ( glad i only paid 8.00 ) and was totaly dissapointed the book is poorly done. i was looking for some nice colored photos, all there are is small , dull b &w photos and technical drawings, along with a brief discription of each manufacture. charts and price guides are hard to follow and incomplete. save your money ! maybe some one will do the subject justice with a good book one day !!

An outboard collector's reference

After reading the 2nd edition of Peter Hunn's The Old Outboard Book I couldn't wait to get the revised and expanded 3rd edition. I take the book with me when I go looking for old outboards and swap meets. No better reference exists in my opinion.
