Sandy Lindsey holds a U.S. Coast Guard captain's license and has written extensively about boats and boating for many magazines. She is a contributing editor for Boating magazine and the author of Boating Magazine’s Quick and Easy Boat Maintenance. When not writing she can be found powerboating near her Florida home.

Good basci guide for men and women!

I bought this for my wife and took a quick look through it. It contains a lot of essential, basic information you will not find in the standard boating manuals (e.g., USCG Auxiliary, Chapman's) such as what to wear, how to step aboard a boat. A worthy read for all beginners, not just women.
